Since 2017 RCS has been working with the PGA Tour on next generation graphics solutions. During the 2018 PGA Tour season RCS tested out cloud based graphics solutions for live Tourneys leveraging the shotlink real-time shot data. IMG Arena was looking to stream Par 3 holes for PGA Tour and DP World Tour events all year long. RCS was tasked to create a web based application to control cloud based graphics for both tours streams.
From the start it was a collaborative effort with content provider IMG Arena, PGA Tour, DP World Tour, and RCS to develop a flexible, hybrid cloud graphics workflow for the production teams to use. After extensive live testing, RCS rolled out a custom web interface for graphics creation, control and live data integration based on the Singular.live platform. On premise, RCS converts the Singular web output to HD-SDI via the RCS Bullet - a lightweight, component based hardware solution that delivers HD broadcast quality. The RCS systems have been used to provide live graphics for streaming coverage of over 60 PGA and DP World PGA Tour events Worldwide in since 2019.
Following a successful launch of the IMG Arena Par 3 PGA Tour and DP World Tour apps RCS continued to develop cloud based graphics data solutions for the Korn Ferry social sites and for other PGA Tour data powered products.
